Green teas are produced mainly in China and Japan. Chinese Buddhist monks brought teas to Japan in the eighth century. Buddhists drank tea for its health benefits, but also because they found its stimulating properties helpful for meditation. India and Sri Lanka (Ceylon) have also recently begun producing green tea. For those new to drinking green tea, Raintree flavoured teas are a good place to start. White Tea is the purest form of tea, having undergone the least amount of processing and as a result, this tea contains the most antioxidants. White Tea generally consists of the young buds of the tea plant, which are covered with a silvery white down, giving the unopened leaf a white appearance. White teas offer a high antioxidant count, delicate taste, unique body and smooth finish. Selections: Creme Caramel white tea with bergamot aroma Brewing temperature: 195; steep time: 1 minute |

Herbal infusions consist of herbs, real dried fruit, natural flavourings and aromas. Since there are no tea leaves in herbal infusions, the majority are naturally caffeine free and high in vitamin C. This makes them ideal for consumption in the evening and for introducing children to drinking tea. Selections: Indian Summer roobois with blackberry leaves,
lemon balm, natural flavours,
sunflower & corn petals Brewing temperature: 208; steep time: 8-10 minutes |

Note: Mate (MAH-tay) is a wonderful stimulant, which acts as an all-natural and cost-effective substitute for energy drinks and coffee. The stimulant in Mate is called mateine, which is like caffeine, but less disruptive to your metabolism and doesn’t leave you with the side effects and toxicity of coffee. With 52 more active compounds and a higher antioxidant count than green tea, mate fights free radicals and detoxifies the body.
